Alice is an award winning comedy writer, Broadcaster, and performer.

Listed in the Telegraph’s 50 Funniest Comedians of the 21st Century, her solo comedy shows have been commissioned as TV specials on Amazon Prime, NextUp and the ABC.

Alice is a regular writer and performer on BBC Radio‘s flagship satirical news comedy show The News Quiz, as well as the ABC’s Thank God It’s Friday, the Australian Podcast Award winning A Rational Fear and is beloved as a regular co-host on The Bugle and Bugleverse spin-off shows, the deranged and experimental The Last Post, and The Gargle

Alice’s personal podcast ‘Tea with Alice’ brings together a thoughtful and clever community, drinking tea with a rotating cast of bright and brilliant guests including Wil Anderson, Neil Gaiman and her next door neighbour. She performed her first trilogy of stand-up shows Savage, The Resistance and Empire in a three hour marathon performance that became The Alice Fraser Trilogy, a podcast that was voted the Best Australian Podcast of 2018 by Apple Australia.

Her four documentaries for Audible on Meditation 101, Habit Change, Wellness and Work Life Balance are extremely popular, with In The Habit being in the top 5 most downloaded titles on the app in its release year. She also co-hosted BBC Radio 4 series Stranger Than Sci Fi, about ongoing conversations between science and science fiction.

Alice has given a TEDx Talk about vanity in the face of death, debated the power of the media against Julian Assange at the Splendour in the Grass music festival and once did a 75th birthday party gig to sixteen people in an upmarket butcher’s shop next to a rotating carcass display that was exactly the same as having an existential crisis.

HISTORY.

Studying Arts/Law at Sydney University, Alice began her life in comedy through the Improvised Comedy scene and the Arts and Law Faculty Revues across two universities and 5 years of writing, directing, producing and performing.

During her Masters in English Literature (Rhetoric) at Cambridge, she carried her love of sketch comedy writing and performing into the Cambridge Footlights.

She then went to New York for a stint as an intern in an NYC investment bank, started doing stand-up comedy in her spare time, and despite a brief career as a lawyer at Allens Linklaters, has been doing standup ever since.

She is now a comedian and writer, having performed all over the world, from Cambridge to New York to New Zealand, and from London to Damascus to Edinburgh.

Alice won the inaugural Homebake Comedy Competition in Australia, and was nominated for best newcomer at the Sydney Comedy Festival 2013. She was named as one of Chortle's Gigs of the year and listed in the Telegraph’s 50 Funniest Comedians of the 21st Century in 2023. She consistently gets quite nice five star Reviews for her solo shows, if that matters at all (it does, but it shouldn’t).

PUNCHLINES TO A DEADLINE.

Alice regularly performs and is available for corporate events and charity fundraisers, clubs and theatres, doing standup, MC work and comedy debates.

Alice's breadth of experience from the hallowed halls of Cambridge in the Footlights to the sticky floors of New York's cut-throat comedy scene has left her with tough, flexible and impressive writing and performing skills.

Her writing talents and versatility have led to her to write jokes for comedians appearing on Have I Got News For You, Mock The Week & Roast Battle.

Alice is a regular MC, Keynote Speaker and headliner and is open for bookings to perform.

Feel free to contact Alice at any time here.
